How do i get ready for an estate sale or auction?
- Don't throw anything away!
- Consult with our experts through a free consultation.
- Decide what the family will keep and remove those items from the property.
- Remove personal records, papers, and memorabilia. If we find more of these items while setting up, they are set aside for family approval.
- We may recommend bug bombs, ozone generators, or temperature control to make your house more attractive to all shoppers.
- We will help you examine deed restrictions and local ordinances to allow for the sale.
- We will acquire legal rights with you to authorize the sale, if requested.
What is the selling process?
- After the initial consultation we will draw up a contract, which protects you!
- We will take great care to explain this process to your senior relatives or the estate trustees.
- We arrange your furniture & precious items so that they are attractive and accessible.
- Our expert pricers do further research & then price the items to sell at max profit.
- Pictures are taken to be added to our website.
- We arrange a walk-thru as clients request.
- We market & advertise the estate sale liquidation.
- On the morning of the sale our team uses strategic placement of area-specific and area allowed signage.
- The 2 or 3 day estate sale is conducted!!
- For fee and free clean out specialists are recommended to remove left overs and make your home look its best when on the market.
- Your check is sent out within 10 business days!
ETIQUETTE when buying at an estate sale
- Sold tables are provided for your convenience, please purchase reserved items.
- Larger purses are not allowed.
- Please plan for your personnel to move larger, heavier items to your vehicle.
- All purchases are as is & final. Inspect all merchandise for flaws before payments.
- We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express and, of course, cash. Personal checks not accepted.
- We charge local sales tax unless dealers present a resale certificate & number.
- Client provided sold tags throughout the estate sale are not allowed.
- Please don't block neighbor driveways.
- Please bring wrapping, bags, & packaging as our supplies are limited.
- We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
- Please remove sold items quickly. Items left after the end of the sale are the property of the original owner.
Do i pay upfront for the sale?
At Solomon Sales there are NO upfront costs for your home or business liquidation, estate sale or auctions!
How are expensive items priced?
Jewelry items are in depth analyzed and may be appraised at no additional charge.
Our team does extensive research on all antiques, china and more expensive or collectible items.
The involvement of outside experts is used as necessary and at no additional charge.
All items in the home are priced to sell and for maximum profit to the home/business owner or estate trustee.

How Much do you charge for an estate sale?
You will book a free consultation to show us your home, warehouse or business. After that, a percentage of sales will be agreed upon.
We charge a sliding scale based on the sale. Our rates are low and competitive! We agree on the commission BEFORE the sale.
There are NO upfront costs or hidden fees.

What about SALES TAX?
WE SEND SALES TAX COLLECTED TO THE STATE, AND COLLECT RE-SELLER CERTIFICATES. You do not need to submit anything.
